I’ve been making variations of this salad for years, it's one of my favorite summer salads. Every time I serve it, whether it’s at a backyard BBQ or a last-minute potluck, it disappears so fast.
It’s sweet, salty, and tangy all at once, ready in just 15 minutes, packed with fresh summer produce, and gorgeous enough to double as a centerpiece.
The combo of watermelon and feta might sound a little unexpected at first, but trust me, it's delicious. The fresh watermelon is juicy and hydrating, exactly what we need on a hot day, and the saltiness of the feta cuts through perfectly, giving the salad that irresistible sweet-and-savory vibe.
Add in juicy blueberries and fresh mint, and oof, we are officially living our best summer salad life.

How to Make A Sweet Watermelon & Feta Summer Salad.
This salad is the ultimate Fourth of July side dish. And if you’re doing a finger-food theme, you could even skewer cubes of watermelon and feta with a blueberry on top, voila, instant party bites.
1. Prepare the Watermelon: Dice the watermelon into bite-size cubes. If you’re feeling extra fancy, hollow it out and use the rind as a serving bowl (so cute for parties!).
2. Combine the Ingredients: In a large bowl, gently mix the watermelon, crumbled feta, sliced red onion, and blueberries.
3. Dress the Salad: Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture. Gently toss to combine, taking care not to break up the watermelon pieces.
4. Chill: Let the salad chill in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.
5. Garnish & Serve: Serve in the hollowed-out watermelon, individual mason jars or in a big bowl. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
It’s also a great way to use up extra watermelon if you’ve got one hanging out in the fridge. And if you have leftover salad (which rarely happens!), just pop it into an airtight container and chill until needed.
Tips: Make it ahead – Just prep everything but don’t add the feta or dressing until you’re close to serving. That keeps it from getting soggy.
For added variety - Feel free to include other ingredients like English cucumbers for extra crunch, or a squeeze of lime or lemon juice for a burst of zesty flavor.
Honestly, this is one of those recipes that just belongs in the summer months, easy, light, and made for sharing.
