How to Make French Dip Sliders

1. Cook sliced onions in butter until caramelized. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.

2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half to make a top and bottom sheet.

3. To assemble the sliders, start by adding a layer of 6 slices of provolone cheese to the bottom Hawaiian rolls.

4. Add the roast beef and the caramelized onions.

5. Add another layer of cheese.

6. Add the roll tops on top.

7. Combine the onion soup mix and melted butter in a small bowl, then brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.

8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

9. Meanwhile, prepare the au jus gravy according to package directions.

10. Remove the foil from the sliders, and bake 5 minutes more.

11. Cut the sliders to separate and serve warm with gravy for dipping.
