These little rolled-up bites are hands-down one of my family favorites. They’re cheesy, meaty, a little tangy and perfectly seasoned with just a hint of Italian seasoning.

Italian Pinwheel Sandwiches.
Let’s be honest, everyone loves finger foods. They’re fun, shareable and way less messy than a sub sandwich sliding apart on a plate. But these Italian pinwheel sandwiches take things to the next level.
They're:
A great party appetizer you can make ahead
Perfect for game day, showers, potlucks - you name it
They stay fresh in the fridge for a few days so ideal for meal prep.
A great alternative to traditional sandwiches for a quick lunch
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
¼ cup Italian bread crumbs
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2–3 tbsp roasted red peppers, finely chopped
2–3 tbsp banana peppers, finely chopped
3 large tortillas (burrito-size)
8 oz salami
36 slices pepperoni
9 slices provolone cheese
3 romaine lettuce leaves
Instructions
1. Make the Spread:
In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese, bread crumbs, Parmesan, roasted red peppers and banana peppers until well combined.
2. Prepare the Tortillas:
Lay out the three tortillas. Divide the cream cheese spread mixture evenly among them and spread it out, leaving about 1 inch of space around the edges.
3. Layer the Fillings:
On each tortilla, place:
1 romaine lettuce leaf
3 slices of provolone cheese
12 pepperoni slices
A layer of salami (divided evenly among the three)
4. Roll and Chill:
Carefully roll up each tortilla tightly. To help hold their shape, secure them with toothpicks.
5. Refrigerate:
Chill the rolled tortillas in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
6. Serve:
Slice each roll into 1–2 inch pinwheels and serve cold.
Different Ways to Switch It Up
Add pesto to the spread for a herby twist
Use spinach tortillas for color and a little extra flair
Swap in mozzarella or sharp cheddar if provolone’s not your jam
Skip the meat for a veggie version with grilled eggplant or zucchini
Whether you're packing these for a quick lunch, prepping ahead for a busy week or setting out a spread of finger foods for your next party, this Italian pinwheels recipe is about to be your new best friend.
