Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Donuts.

Okay, don't tell me you didn’t grow up sneaking extra Cinnamon Toast Crunch from the box when no one was looking because SAME. So I took that cinnamon-sugary magic and turned it into the ultimate cozy treat: Cinnamon Toast Crunch Donuts!

They’re soft, sweet, baked (not fried!), and drizzled with the dreamiest maple glaze.

You know I love a good nostalgic twist just like my S'mores Golden Grahams Bars and these little donuts totally deliver. They’re perfect for birthday brunches, baby showers or even just a sweet surprise on a lazy weekend.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Doughnuts.

They're packed with that classic Cinnamon Toast Crunch magic with crispy cereal vibes, warm cinnamon spic, and topped with a maple glaze so good I’ve been dipping everything I can find in it.

These babies are also baked, not fried. That means no scary deep fryer and no oil splatters. Just grab a donut pan, mix up your batter, and let the oven do all the work. Easy peasy!

If you’re throwing any kind of celebration big, small, or somewhere in between, these donuts need to be on your table.

Ingredients:

Donuts:

  • 1 cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, crushed

  • ¾ cup Buttermilk

  • 1⅔ cups All-purpose Flour

  • ¾ teaspoon Baking Powder

  • ¼ teaspoon Baking Soda

  • ½ stick Salted Butter, melted (4 tablespoons)

  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup

  • ¼ cup Light Brown Sugar

  • 1 large Egg

  • 2 tablespoons Plain Greek Yogurt or Sour Cream

  • 2 tablespoons Canola or Vegetable Oil

  • ½ tablespoon Vanilla Extract

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Glaze:

  • 1½ cups Powdered Sugar

  • 3 tablespoons Whole Milk (add gradually)

  • 1 tablespoon Maple Syrup

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • ½ teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

  • 1½ cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal (for topping)

Items Needed:

  • 6-Hole Regular Sized Donut Pan

  • Frosting Bag (optional)

  • Wilton 2A Frosting Tip (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease the donut pan and set aside.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch and buttermilk. Stir slightly; set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon.

4. Lightly whisk the egg and add it to the buttermilk-cereal mixture. Stir in oil, maple syrup, vanilla, Greek yogurt, brown sugar, and melted butter until fully combined.

5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined.

6. Grab your prepared donut pan and fill each donut pan cavity about ¾ full. (Use a piping bag or spoon if you prefer).

7. Bake for 10 minutes, or until tops are bouncy to the touch.

8. Leave donuts in the pan and let them cool for 15–20 minutes.

9. While cooling, mix powdered sugar, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon for the glaze. Adjust milk for desired consistency.

10. Gently remove donuts from the pan. Dip tops into the glaze, then set glazed-side-up on parchment paper or a cooling rack.

11. Crush some of the remaining cinnamon toast crunch, while leaving some of the pieces still whole.

12. Immediately top with whole and crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces.

13. Serve, eat, and enjoy!

Store in a sealed container for up to 4 days in the pantry. You can freeze in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

Tips

  • Sprinkle cereal right after glazing. If you allow the glaze to harden, the cereal will not stick.

  • When preparing your glaze, add your whole milk one tablespoon at a time until you achieve your desired consistency. For me, it was about 3 tablespoons.

  • Crush cereal in a Ziplock bag for less mess.

  • Tap donut pan on the counter before baking to release air bubbles.

And if you’re as cereal-obsessed as I am, don’t stop there! You’ve gotta check out my S’mores Golden Graham Bars — they’re gooey, chocolatey, and basically summer camp in a bite.

Or whip up a batch of my Graham Trail Mix, which is the perfect sweet-meets-salty snack to toss into party bowls or little treat bags.
