The Cutest Teddy Bear Cookies

These adorable bear-shaped cookies are perfect for birthday parties, baby shower or fun baking with kids. Made with store-bought peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie dough, they’re easy to assemble and irresistibly cute.

Teddy Bear Cookies.

These teddy bear cookies are about to become your new favorite go-to for kids' parties and baby showers. They look like they came from a fancy bakery but here’s the secret: they’re made with store-bought cookie dough. Yup. Zero mixing, zero stress. Just roll, press, bake and boom, you’ve got the cutest cookies on the block!

Let’s be honest, there’s no shame in using store-bought cookie dough. We’re busy! Between work, kids, school parties and that laundry pile that somehow never ends, who has time to make everything from scratch?

That’s why these teddy bear cookies with their chocolate chip and peanut butter flavors are one of my top picks for birthday parties, teddy bear picnics, baby showers, last-minute bake sales or even just a fun afternoon baking with my kid.

They’re ridiculously easy to make, super fun to decorate and come together in under an hour (seriously!).

Cute Bear Cookies.

You don’t need to be a pro baker or even make dough from scratch to whip up a batch of these cute bears. Take out the pre-made cookies, roll some into small balls for ears and noses and press them into a sweet little bear shape.

Bake until they’re golden brown and delicious, then while they’re still warm, you give them personality with chocolate chips and candy eyes. Honestly, they’re almost too cute to eat. (Almost.)

Once they’ve cooled on a wire rack, tuck them into an airtight container to keep them soft and chewy for days. If they last that long, of course!

Ingredients

  • 1 (24-count) package peanut butter cookie dough

  • 1 (24-count) package chocolate chip cookie dough

  • 48 candy eyes

  • 24 chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. On one sheet, arrange 12 peanut butter cookies. On the other, arrange 12 chocolate chip cookies.
Gently press each cookie down to flatten slightly. If you're using frozen cookie dough make sure to defrost and let reach room temperature.

4. For the peanut butter cookies:

  • Use chocolate chip dough balls to create ears (2 per cookie) and a nose (1 per cookie).

  • Lightly press into place.

5. For the chocolate chip cookies:

  • Use peanut butter dough balls to create ears and a nose.

  • Lightly press into place.

6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are just beginning to brown.

7. While warm:

  • Place 1 chocolate chip in the center of each nose.

  • Add 2 candy eyes above the nose.

8. Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer your teddy bears to a wire rack to cool completely.

They’re adorable, simple and always a hit with kids and grown-ups alike. Make a double batch and pack them up for party favors, classroom treats or just to have on hand when a sweet snack craving strikes. Because when cookies are this cute, one just isn’t enough!
