The crescent roll dough bakes up golden and flaky, wrapping around layers of smoky black forest ham and freshly shredded Swiss cheese. A brush of melted butter and a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning take them from delicious to unforgettable.
Ingredients
2 packages of crescent rolls
2 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tsp Dijon mustard
12 slices of black forest ham
2 1/2 cups freshly shredded Swiss cheese (not pre-shredded for best result!)
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Unroll one crescent dough sheet and pinch the seams together.
4. Mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard together.
5. Spread the crescent dough with half the mayonnaise and mustard mixture.
6. Layer on 6 slices of ham and half of the shredded Swiss cheese.
7. Roll up the dough tightly, keeping the filling in place as best you can.
8. Slice into ½-¾ inch pieces and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
9. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. Repeat steps 2-4 with the second crescent dough sheet and remaining ingredients.
11. Melt the butter and brush it over the warm rolls.
12. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning to finish.
Storing & Reheating
These pinwheels stay fresh in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them in a 300°F oven for about 5-7 minutes to regain their crisp edges and melty center.
