Ingredients
2 whole wheat pita breads
2 ripe avocados
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
Instructions
1. Cut each pita bread into 8 wedges to form triangle shapes resembling little tree sections.
2. Lightly toast the pita wedges in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes, just until crisp but still soft enough to bite.
3. In a medium bowl, scoop out the avocados and mash them with a fork until smooth.
4. Add lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper, then stir to combine.
5. Spread a generous layer of mashed avocado over each toasted pita wedge.
6. Top with halved cherry tomatoes, arranging them like ornaments on a Christmas tree.
7. Arrange the avocado pita trees on a serving platter and serve immediately.
