Easy Fall Acorn Donut Holes
These adorable Acorn Donut Holes are the cutest little fall treat! Made with just 4 ingredients, they’re quick, easy and so much fun for kids to help make. Perfect for Halloween parties, Thanksgiving, fall gatherings or a fun autumn snack!

I’m always a fan of recipes that look much more complicated than they actually are, and these little acorn donut holes are exactly that.
You only need glazed donut holes, chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles and pretzel sticks to make them. Dip, sprinkle, add a little pretzel stem and you’re done!
They’re also a great recipe to make with kids because there’s no baking involved. Little hands can help dip the donut holes and add the chocolate sprinkles before you finish them off with their pretzel stems.
These cute acorn treats are perfect for so many fall occasions. Serve them at a Halloween party, Thanksgiving gathering, fall birthday party, autumn picnic, school or classroom party, fall bake sale or Thanksgiving dessert table.
They also make a really cute addition to a larger fall dessert spread alongside cookies, brownies, cupcakes and other seasonal treats.
Ingredients
20 glazed donut holes
¾ cup chocolate chips
10–20 pretzel sticks
¾ cup chocolate jimmies (sprinkles)
You’ll also need some parchment paper. Rubber gloves are optional if you’re making these with little helpers and want to keep chocolate-covered fingers to a minimum!
How To Make Acorn Donut Holes
1. Snap your pretzel sticks in half.
You’ll only need around 10 whole pretzel sticks if you do this, although the exact amount will depend on the size of your pretzels.
2. Place the chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on high in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each interval, until the chocolate is completely smooth and creamy.
3. Place the chocolate jimmies in a small bowl.
You want the bowl to be wide enough that you can easily dip the end of each donut hole into the sprinkles.
4. Dip one end of a glazed donut hole into the melted chocolate.
Let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl, then immediately dip the chocolate-covered end into the chocolate sprinkles.
You want the sprinkles to completely cover the chocolate so it looks like the textured top of an acorn.
5. Carefully push a pretzel stick into the chocolate-and-sprinkle-covered end of the donut hole.
Try not to scrape off the chocolate or sprinkles as you add the pretzel.
6. Place each finished acorn on a sheet of parchment paper.
7. Repeat with the remaining donut holes.
8. Once the chocolate has set, they’re ready to serve!
Tip: These are best enjoyed the same day they’re made.
